Budgeting and bookkeeping templates as tools of empowerment

I have built my own business incrementally through diligence, determination and consistency but I have also benefited from great small business training.

I’ve been working with small businesses since 2009 (when I received my Bachelors in Accounting) as a bookkeeper and have been fascinated with budgeting since 2001. I have a passion for helping people gain control and peace of mind over their finances. I think paying your bills and filing your taxes doesn’t need to be as scary as it can often seem.

There are often small steps that a solopreneur can take to get set up and started in building their empire (or living room studio) that will save headache and anxiety at tax time and help define goals and work structure — and it doesn’t need to cost tons of money (because most of us don’t have that when we’re starting out!).

I believe that the first step to financial success is in understanding what you need and want in your life. From there you can build your small business to accommodate those goals. With numbers as hard evidence - you can evaluate your creative experiments and adjust accordingly to create more growth or simplify.
